Sri Prabodhananda Sarasvati, a revered sannyasi from the Sri Sampradaya, was renowned for his scholarship and deep devotion. After receiving mercy from Mahaprabhu, he became a worshipper of Radha-Krsna and later visited Nilacala, where he witnessed Mahaprabhu’s divine dance. He spent his final years in Kamavana, performing bhajana, and his samadhi is located at Kaliya Daha in Vrndavana.
Sri Vrndavana Mahimamrta, written by Sri Prabodhananda Sarasvati, extols the glories of Vrndavana and its residents. Composed towards the end of Prabodhananda's life during his time in Vrndavana, the text highlights his deep devotion and longing for the holy land.
