This timeless seventeenth-century Sanskrit classic offers an insightful depiction of the stages of spiritual growth, illustrated as the unfolding of a beautiful vine of devotion.
As spiritual practitioners, what do we experience as this vine of devotion blossoms? How do our relationships, attitudes, and actions shape its progress? And how can we measure and cultivate its growth?
Madhurya-kadambini answers these questions, drawing from ancient Vedic verses with exceptional clarity, insight, and grace.
As the vine develops, new leaves appear, enhancing its beauty at every stage and bringing the flower of deep spiritual emotion (bhava) to its full expression, eventually yielding the fruit of ecstatic love for God (prema).
